OSUNBOR BLASTS APC,  CALLS TINUBU GOVT ‘ONE OF THE WORST’, ALLEGES SABOTAGE

A former Governor of Edo State and law professor, Oserheimen Osunbor, has launched a scathing attack on the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), citing broken campaign promises and a collapse of constitutional governance as reasons for his defection to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Speaking during an appearance on Politics Today on Channels Television, Osunbor accused the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of failing Nigerians and pursuing policies that benefit only a select few.

He alleged that a senior government official, reportedly the Chief of Staff, advised a federal lawmaker, Leke Abejide, to remain within the ADC to “fight, trouble, and scatter the party,” questioning the integrity of such political tactics.

“What kind of governance is that?” Osunbor asked pointedly.

The former governor described the current administration as “one of the worst” he has witnessed, declaring it a failure marked by disregard for due process and lack of internal justice.

Osunbor, now a chieftain of the ADC, insisted the party represents the best alternative to “rescue Nigeria,” expressing confidence that more politicians are joining the party than leaving it. He dismissed recent defections as the exit of individuals who allegedly intended to destabilize the party from within.

On the ongoing disputes involving the ADC and Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Osunbor alleged political interference, claiming the crisis was being sponsored by the APC. He referenced the resignation of the ADC chairman on July 29, 2025, describing the situation as unfortunate and suggesting that INEC’s actions may have been influenced by external pressure.

Despite the turmoil, Osunbor urged Nigerians to place their trust in the ADC, assuring that its members are committed to rebuilding the nation.

“We are determined to save Nigeria,” he said.
