Kaduna Troops Arrest Suspected Military Impostor

Troops from the 312 Artillery Regiment of 1 Division Nigerian Army, working with Sector 1 Joint Task Force North West Operation FANSAN YAMMA, have arrested a suspected military impostor in Kaduna.

The civilian suspect was detained at approximately 9:50 a.m. on 11 June 2026 at Strike Force Base, Sabo, after allegedly posing as Major General AT Ibrahim (Rtd). Investigations are ongoing, and the suspect will be handed over to the appropriate authorities for further inquiry and prosecution.

The Nigerian Army reiterated its commitment to tackling all forms of criminality that undermine public trust, including military impersonation. Citizens are urged to remain vigilant and report anyone claiming military status without proper identification. The Army assured the public that it will continue to act decisively against individuals misusing the Armed Forces’ name for unlawful purposes.
