President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended warm birthday wishes to Felix Morka, the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, as he marks his birthday on April 12. In a statement released on April 11 by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President joined members of the party’s National Executive Council and National Working Committee, as well as the wider APC family, in celebrating Morka and wishing him continued good health. President Tinubu applauded Morka’s professional journey, particularly his background in human rights advocacy and his work with civil society organisations prior to entering politics. This background has equipped him with unique insights into the challenges facing Nigeria today, allowing him to serve effectively in his current role. He noted that Morka has effectively applied his expertise in strategic communication to articulate and promote the party’s manifesto, ensuring that the party’s message reaches a diverse audience across the nation.
Morka’s communication strategies have included innovative social media campaigns that engage younger voters, a crucial demographic for the APC’s future success. The President also acknowledged Morka’s role as chairman of the Nigerian Television Authority, crediting him with strengthening communication between the ruling party and the public, while helping to expand the party’s membership base. Under Morka’s leadership, the NTA has launched several initiatives aimed at improving transparency and accessibility of government information to the citizenry. Commending his maturity and sound judgment, Tinubu praised the APC spokesman for maintaining effective internal cohesion and external engagement during challenging political times. His ability to mediate differing opinions within the party has been vital in presenting a united front. He concluded by offering prayers for Morka’s continued well-being and that of his family, emphasizing the importance of strong leadership in fostering unity and progress within the party.
