BREAKING: 2PAC FINALLY GETS JUSTICE AFTER 30 YEARS
A Las Vegas jury has convicted Duane “Keffe D” Davis of murder in connection with the 1996 killing of legendary rapper Tupac Shakur, bringing a major development to one of hip-hop’s longest-running unsolved cases.
Davis, a former South Side Compton Crips gang leader, was found guilty of orchestrating the drive-by shooting that claimed Tupac’s life in Las Vegas nearly three decades ago. Although prosecutors said he did not fire the gun himself, they argued that he played a key role in planning and facilitating the attack.
Tupac Shakur, 25, was shot on September 7, 1996, while riding in a car with Death Row Records founder Marion “Suge” Knight after attending a boxing match. He died six days later from his injuries.
The case remained unsolved for years until renewed investigations focused on Davis following his own public statements, interviews and a memoir in which prosecutors said he made admissions connected to the shooting.
The conviction marks the first major legal resolution in the murder of one of the most influential figures in rap history, giving Tupac’s family and millions of fans a long-awaited sense of closure.
