FCT SPECIAL MARSHALS, FRSC SECTOR COMMAND FORGE NEW ALLIANCE FOR SAFER ROADS

A fresh push to improve road safety and operational efficiency in the Federal Capital Territory gathered momentum yesterday as the leadership of the FCT Special Marshals paid a strategic courtesy visit to the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, CC T. Iliya, in Abuja.

The high-level delegation, led by the State Coordinator of the FCT Special Marshals, SM John De-Beloved Anaga, described the visit as part of efforts to strengthen collaboration and build a more cordial working relationship with the Corps’ leadership.

Addressing the Sector Commander during the meeting, the Special Marshals’ leadership commended his commitment to service and pledged their continued support for the mandate and objectives of the FRSC within the FCT.

In his remarks, CC T. Iliya warmly welcomed the delegation and used the occasion to unveil his operational vision and administrative blueprint for the Sector Command.

He emphasized the need for discipline, professionalism, and stronger synergy among all units, stressing that effective teamwork and strict adherence to operational procedures would significantly improve service delivery and road safety outcomes across the capital city.

The Sector Commander also highlighted key priority areas under his administration, including capacity building, improved patrol efficiency, enhanced visibility and impact on the roads, sustained public enlightenment campaigns, and stronger internal coordination among officers and volunteers.

According to him, these measures are aimed at ensuring safer highways, reducing traffic-related incidents, and boosting public confidence in the Corps’ activities within the FCT.

The meeting also featured an interactive session during which SM John De-Beloved Anaga reaffirmed the loyalty, dedication, and unwavering support of the Special Marshals to the leadership of the Sector Command.

He assured the Commander of the EXCO’s readiness to work closely with the Corps in achieving its road safety mandate and ensuring a safer motoring environment for residents of the FCT.

The visit ended on a positive note, with both sides renewing their commitment to stronger collaboration, mutual respect, and collective responsibility in safeguarding lives on the roads.
